Plain Concepts Becomes Azure Migration Partner of the Year

As has become tradition, Microsoft has once again gathered its partners to reward their work and the most outstanding projects of the last year.

The awards ceremony has left us very good news, and it has left very good news for Plain Concepts, as we have been the winners of the category ‘Migration to Azure’ and finalists in the category of ‘Data & Analytics’. The CEO of the company, Quique Martínez Alén was in charge of collecting the award.

Last year we were already winners in Responsible AI and finalists in the categories of AI, Data Analytics, and Best Partner in Spain, showing the importance we have in the technology sector and in the national and international market.

The selection was made from thousands of entries and Plain Concepts has stood out once again this year in categories that are so important to our customers and that reflect our alignment and ongoing commitment with Microsoft to deliver the best services and solutions in AI, cloud services, and data.

In addition, the meeting was also a time to share Microsoft’s strategic directions and priorities with partners, as well as new tools to advance the opportunities presented by the emergence of generative AI and the need to further enhance the security of organizations.

The priorities for the coming months will focus on the deployment of AI and Copilot solutions in all their aspects, with a special and transversal focus on security, which must be the foundational pillar in companies and public entities. Therefore, the migration of on-premises systems to the cloud and a commitment to Microsoft 365 as a central hub in all departments of organizations of all sizes in all sectors and industries, including the Public Sector and other regulated industries where, for example, data sovereignty, in the age of cloud and AI, is crucial.

That’s why Microsoft’s key partners are specializing in the most critical aspects of AI and focusing on threat protection and security.

Best Azure Migration Partner

For a software company that develops scientific platforms to identify global climate risks, we carried out a project that included the configuration/revision of the Azure landing zone (subscriptions, identity, networking, security, and governance), compatibility testing, and migration of the selected applications to Azure.

The project implements the necessary mitigations to enable the migration of the selected applications. The selected servers have been migrated to virtual machines in Azure, including replication, testing, migration completion, and final transition. During the migration, available optimizations have been applied, including the implementation of Azure Hybrid Benefit and Reserved Instances, as determined in the assessment phase.

2023 was already a special year for the Plain Concepts Data team, as we were finalists in this Partner of the Year category, as well as one of the Top 10 ‘Best Big Data consulting and service providers’ in Europe.

This year we repeat as finalists in Data & Analytics thanks to our expertise in this field, as well as the number of projects we have completed over the last few months.
